Tuao



Tuao is one of twenty-eight (28) municipalities (along with one city) that comprise the province of Cagayan in the Cagayan Valley. The town is politically subdivided into thirty-two (32) barangays, and is a part of the 3rd Congressional District of Cagayan.

Tuao is now a 1st class municipality in the province of Cagayan, Philippines. According to the latest census, it has a population of 57,154 people in 10,390 households.



Tuao lies inland on the western edge of the southern part of the province of Cagayan, some sixty-five (65) kilometers west from the provincial capital in Tuguegarao City. The town is bounded by Rizal and Piat on the north, Solana on the east, a part of Kalinga province on the south, and a part of Apayao province on the west.
